We started up in 1992. Now we are one of the biggest FMCG companies in Poland. We are proud of satisfaction we give our consumers. It allowed us to reach the leading position on petcare market and one of the key player position on confectionery market. We still invest and develop our modern office and factories complex in Kozuszki Parcel and Janaszówek in Sochaczew area in a sustainable way. Owing to up-to-date investments, $775 mio, we are the biggest Mars division in Central Europe.
Most products sold in Poland are made in our independent factories. In the confectionery factory we produce: SNICKERS®, MARS®, MILKY WAY®, M&M’S® and TWIX®. Milk drinks factory, which is the only in Mars corporation, WHISKAS® milk is produced. The remaining two factories: ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ petfood produce: PEDIGREE®, WHISKAS®, KITEKAT®, FROLIC®, CHAPPI®.
Food, UNCLE BEN’S® and DOLMIO®, the third branch of our portfolio, comes from European Mars sister units.
In 2010 our income reached almost 1.5 billion PLN which makes us one of the biggest food companies in Poland.
The significant proportion of products made in Polish factories is exported to many countries of Central and West Europe and to Middle East. In 2010 export value exceeded 40% of our turnover. The biggest markets for our factories are Scandinavian markets and United Kingdom. The biggest customers in the Middle East Region are Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates. According to ranking in weekly magazine ‘Polityka’ for 2009 Mars Poland is the second biggest exporter in food branch in Poland (export value of 650 mio PLN).
Mars Polska co-operates with Polish suppliers of raw materials, packaging and services mainly. We estimate that owing to this co-operation our partners can employ 5 thousand people.
Currently the company employs nearly 1400 Associates working in different departments: Marketing, Sales, Research and Development, Finance, IT, Personnel and Organisation, Logistics, Engineering, Production, Commercial and Corporate Communication . Mars Polska is considered to be a valued employer. For many years our company has taken one of the top ten places in a prestigious nation-wide ranking by AIESEC - the students' organisation. Mars Polska devotes a lot of attention to the support of local community activities. Since the beginning of our operation in Poland together with local authorities we have been supporting infrastructure development and we have been trying to improve living standard of the inhabitants from Sochaczew area.
